Logwin at the SMM 2010 trade fair in Hamburg

Date: 7th September, 2010

Grevenmacher (Luxembourg) – The global logistics service provider Logwin will have a presence at the SMM in Hamburg from 7 to 10 September 2010. The SMM is considered to be the world’s most important trade fair for the maritime industry. Logwin will be giving information on its products "Ship Parts Logistics" and "Logwin Boat" in hall A1 at the Hamburg Fair site and also providing a very special service: exhibitors and buyers will be able to have individual freight rates calculated directly and be able to use these for their businesses negotiations at the fair.

Logwin has been carrying out projects in the field of ship parts logistics for over 20 years. Its special solution is directed at shipyards, ship owners as well as supply and operating companies. Whether urgent spare parts or items for daily use – Logwin can supply ships with all required articles. Goods are delivered directly on board, in the shipyard, in the harbour or on the high seas. Logwin Boat is the IT solution behind Ship Parts Logistics. With the help of this online tool, users can view information regarding their shipments such as transport and delivery status at any time or can create PDF documents from packing lists, shipping documents and pro-forma invoices.

SMM 2010 – 24th International Shipbuilding Fair

The SMM Hamburg (shipbuilding, machinery & marine technology, international trade fair) takes place every two years. In 2008 it was a meeting place for around 2,000 exhibitors – 64 per cent from abroad – and more than 53,000 visitors from 100 countries. The 87,000 m2 of exhibition space in the eleven trade fair halls is again fully booked up this year. Around 150 conferences, workshops, symposiums and meetings will be held during SMM 2010. The “global maritime environmental congress” (gmec) will be taking place for the first time on 8 and 9 September and 700 high-profile representatives from the fields of industry, politics, science, the navy and environmental protection are expected to attend.
