Shipping Sales Executive

The selected person will be responsible for dealing with air, ocean and land freight shipments for both import and export (full or partial loads), booking of cargo with our foreign partners and dealing with clients on a daily basis. Typical activities for sales executives will include:

  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale;
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails;
  • Cold calling/plan to arrange meetings with potential customers for new business;
  • Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries;
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customer’s businesses and requirements;
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations;
  • Booking of shipments with our foreign principals
  • Liaising with foreign partners to check the progress of existing orders;

Sales experience within the Maritime or similar industry will be considered as an asset. The selected candidate must have a clean and valid driving licence and must own a car.
